I'm working on the Comic slowly....very very slowly....
It's pretty hard to think of a good airship for the story but finally thought of this....but still not the final result but it's good...nonetheless quite a fail a bit in my part...
The Day Breaker is an old airship owned by the previous L.W. Party, before Noric took ownership. It's main use is to observe the Ley Lines, transport (heavy) research materials, and to bring cargo. But since Noric's ownership of the company, the ship has changed its purpose. And because of the bounty on the heads of most of his crew, it is also built for speed. The Day Breaker, is not built for battle, but it is somehow built to handle strong Ley Storms, Monsters and Other dangerous elements. Not like any other cargo ship that has been built.
It Looks like a Good start. Suggestions I can think of (This is all more or less nitpicking, Cool Air ships stay cool regardless.) 1) The Storage looks really undersized, the hold was usually the whole bottom layer or two. If the ship has been re-purposed the new crew may have moved into the extra space. 2)The balloons should be in line with the center of mass. this is a physics nit pick but if they aren't the whole ship would roll over. Same for the engine, since it doesn't need to be below a water line. 3) Placing the lab next to the powder room? Do you enjoy tempting fate? 4) this is more of an opinion but Its a bit too much of a water ship, Air ships should be I guess ... less functional? (well that's not right but It makes sense right?) 5) Again not a Suggestion, but how patchwork is this ship? I mean do these guys have the money for real fixes or are they just slapping a 2x4 over the holes? Well that's the end of my Rant and Would love to see what your final build looks like.
But first of, That is Powder's room, which is a person(or being) by the way, and thanks for the advice on the balloon, I always knew there is something wrong at placing that there.....
And yes the crew kinda lack money for most of the time........
And this ship is not built for battle, more as a courier or a research vessel......
Interesting design, it's interior seem a lot complex and roomier than most boats I can think of. Maybe be there should be some fin keels at the bottom for direction airflow? I'm just thinking of ideas right now looking at this airship. Nicely done.
